A Soviet soldier from the Red Army infantry with a PPSh-41 submachine gun is photographed in the liberated Czech village of Cotkytle after the defeat of the Nazi Wehrmacht and the end of World War II in Europe.
The Soviet soldier fought against the regular SS units, since he has on his belt a captured German dagger model 1933 with the inscription “Meine Ehre heisst Treue” on the blade.
