Wehrmacht staff car from a convoy of German army, defeated by the Soviet T-34 medium tank (presumably from the 5th Armored Division of the 3rd Mechanized Corps of the 11th Army) in the Vilnius region.
Several tanks from the 5th Armored Division of the Red Army managed to break through on their own in the Vilnius region, among them T-34. Apparently, the crew of the tank, unable to rearm and refuel, chose to die in battle rather than surrender to the enemy. Inverted T-34 medium tank in the background is seen the image plane.
