Captured German 280mm Krupp K5 railway gun from the Nazi Wehrmacht that fired at the Allies in the Battle of Anzio.
In Italy there were two 280 mm Krupp K5 railway guns named “Robert” and “Leopold”, nicknamed by the Americans as “Anzio Annie” and “Anzio Express”.
Both 280mm Krupp K5 railway guns were captured by the Allies in June 1944 in Civitavecchia, Italy.
