Yugoslavian "Hurricane" fighter in flight


From 1938 to 1941 Yugoslavia bought from the British firm “Hawker” 24 fighter aircraft “Hawker Hurricane” and built under license for another 24 aircraft.
Yugoslavian “Hurricane” fighters had little effect on the course of the Balkan campaign. During the fighting in April 1941, four “Hurricane” were shot down, and the rest is lost as a result of accidents or destroyed on the ground.
