World War 2 photos: the Captain of the German U94 submarine of the Nazi Kriegsmarine Herbert Kuppisch. The Battle of Atlantic ocean.
U-94 submarine made 10 military campaigns. It sank 26 vessels with a total displacement of 141 852 tons, damaged one vessel with a displacement of 8.022 tons. U94 submarine was sunk on August 28, 1942 in the Caribbean (when Captain Kuppisch was not it commander).
Herbert Kuppisch died on August 27, 1943, along with the entire crew (62 people) of the U-847 submarine cruiser, which was sunk by airplanes from an escorted Card aircraft carrier.
