Warsaw residents are digging anti-air trenches on Malakhovsky Square (pl. Małachowskiego) to protect themselves from Luftwaffe air raids.
In this small square was the National Art Gallery of Zachta, and on the other hand was the palace of Leopold Cronenberg. The angular fate of this palace in the background of the photo on the right.
