US marines in the Battle of Okinawa


US marines from the 1st Marine Division are marching through a hill near the Japanese defensive positions in the southern part of Okinawa.
Marines are armed with 7.62-mm self-loading carbine M1 Carbine and 7.62 mm Browning BAR M1918 automatic rifle.
