Ilyushin Il-2 (NATO codification: Bark) is the Soviet attack aircraft of the Great Patriotic War of the Soviet Union, created in the Design Bureau-240 under the leadership of Sergei Vladimirovich Ilyushin. The most massive of combat aircraft in the history of world aviation, more than 36 thousand pieces were produced.
