USS Spencer

Entered into operation in 1937 as a Coast Guard ship, Spencer (USCGC Spencer) in the war years temporarily became the ship of the US Navy. During the Battle of the Atlantic “Spencer” accompanied the convoy of the sea, hunting for German submarines. It is famous for the sinking of submarines U-175 and U-225. This photo was taken in 1942-1943.

The ship of the US Navy, Spencer, continued until 1974. In 1981 he was cut to metal.
