The Soviet 181th special reconnaissance detachment of the Marine Corps of the Northern Fleet. 1944, after the capture of the Krestovyy cape.
On October 12, 1944, the 181st special reconnaissance detachment, under the command of Lieutenant Viktor Leonov, attacked two German artillery batteries at Cape Krestovyy, from which they controlled the entrance to the Bay of Petsamo, and captured them, ensuring landing of the sea assault.
