The shot down Japanese B5N bomber is raised from the water in Pearl Harbor

Japanese B5N bomber

 

American sailors of the US Navy are watching the lifting of the wreckage of the shot down Japanese Nakajima B5N torpedo bomber Type 97 (according to the American classification is “Kate”) from the water in the southeastern part of Pearl Harbor.

This B5N with the number AII-356 was piloted by Lieutenant Mimory Suzuki from the aircraft carrier “Kaga” and was shot down in the number of five torpedo bombers lost by the Japanese in the first wave of attack.
