The rescue hydroplane Cant Z.506B belonged to the Italian 139th Squadron.
July 29, 1942 Cant Z.506B “Airone” saved the crew of the downed English bomber “Bristol Beaufort” (4 people). In flight, the captured English attacked the escort and seized his gun. Further, threatening the Italian pilots with weapons, they captured the aircraft and brought it to the British base in Malta.
