The French traitors from the SS units before the execution by compatriots from La France libre.
Soldiers of SS units from left to right: SS-Obersturmfuhrer Serge Krotoff (November 11, 1911 – May 08, 1945), Russian by birth, was born in a French colony on the island of Madagascar, SS-Untershurmfuhrer Paul Briffaut, (August 08, 1918 – May 8, 1945), in the foreground, in the form of Lieutenant of the Wehrmacht and SS-Obersturmfuhrer Robert Doffat (looks at the photographer).

Twelve Frenchmen who served in the Waffen SS unit were executed by soldiers from La France libre. 11 of them were from 33.Waffen-Gren.Div. der SS “Charlemagne”/Franzusische Nr 1 and one (Paul Briffaut) – from the 58th grenadier regiment of the Waffen SS (in the SS division “Charlemagne”).
