Stalingrad mill, the point of defense of the 13th Guards Rifle Division of General Rodimtsev.
During the fierce and bloody battles in the autumn of 1942, the central and northern parts of Stalingrad could be clearly seen from it, so for the attacking Wehrmacht and the defending Soviet troops, this building was considered a strategic object, taking advantage of this or that side to gain an advantage over the enemy.
In the foreground is the building of the NKVD.
