Tiger 2 the German tank from the 501st heavy tanks battalion of the Panzerwaffe destroyed on Balaton Lake.
Destroyed by hitting an anti-tank projectile in the left side the Panzer VI Ausf. B “Tiger II” (Tiger 2), tactical number 331, commander of the 3rd company Rolf von Westnerhagen from the 501st heavy tanks battalion, operating as part of the 1st SS Panzer Corps.
Tiger II heavy tank was destroyed by a SU-100 battery under the command of Captain Vasilyev (1952 self-propelled artillery regiment).
On board the Panzer VI heavy tank, the number (93) of the Soviet trophy team is visible.
