The destroyed “King Tiger” from the 501st heavy tanks battalion on Lake Balaton

King Tiger

Destroyed by hitting an anti-tank projectile in the left side Panzer VI Ausf. B “Tiger II” (King Tiger), tactical number 331, commander of the 3rd company Rolf von Westnerhagen from the 501st heavy tanks battalion, operating as part of the 1st SS Panzer Corps.
King Tiger n was destroyed by a SU-100 battery under the command of Captain Vasilyev (1952 self-propelled artillery regiment).
On board King Tiger, the number (93) of the Soviet trophy team is visible.
