The developers and designers of the Nazi missile weapons the Wernher von Braun surrender to the 44th American Division. Also, the Americans were given and documentation for the development.
In the summer of 1945, during Operation Paperclip, they were all taken to America and continued their work there, but already on the US government. So the US acquired its own missile and space programs.
