The defense of Sevastopol: The defenders of the Russian fortified city near the monument to Admiral Kornilov on the Malakhov Kurgan.

Capturing Sevastopol, the Nazis destroyed the monument: the bronze part was taken to Germany, and the pedestal was blown up. The monument was recreated by the Soviet authorities in 1983 to the 200th anniversary of Sevastopol.
