Nazi German SS-Obersturmbannführer Otto Skorzeny and SS-Hauptsturmführer Siegfried Milius during the defense of Frankfurt-on-the-Oder.
For his participation in the defense of Frankfurt-on-Oder, when Otto Skoreny commanded units of the German army, Adolf Hitler awarded him one of the highest military insignia of the Third Reich – the Knight’s Cross with Oak Leaves.
