Soviet soldiers of the 3rd Ukrainian Front of the Red Army view the captured German StuG III Ausf. G self-propelled gun on the road to Nikopol.
The Wehrmacht’s assault gun has winter camouflage, on the surviving caterpillar are visible anti-slip teeth (Mittelstollen), used to improve ride quality on ice or solid snow.

The city of Nikopol (Dnipropetrovsk region, Ukraine) was liberated from the Nazis in February 8, 1944.
