Saved German sailors from the sunken Nazi U-175 submarine in the ocean water. Of the 54 U-175 of the crew members of the U-175 submarine, 13 people were killed, the remaining 41 were taken aboard the US Coast Guard ship “Spencer” (USS Spencer), from the artillery fire of which the U-175 died.
