War at sea: Us Sailors from the American destroyer Whipple (USS Whipple (DD-217) look at the sinking (also American) transport vessel Langley (USS Langley (AV-3).
On February 27, 1942, during the transportation of P-40 fighters to the island of Java, the USS Langley was heavily damaged by Japanese bombers and then sunk by escort ships.
