Russian infantry of the 2nd Guards Taman Division in liberated Kerch, Ukraine. Soviet troops began crossing through the Kerch Strait after fleeing the Wehrmacht from the Taman Peninsula in the October 31, 1943. April 11, 1944 Kerch was finally liberated from the occupiers as a result of the landing operation.
