Residents of Vinnitsa (Western Ukraine) meet Soviet soldiers-liberators.

The city of Vinnitsa and its Residents was under German occupation from July 21, 1941. The city was liberated on March 20, 1944 by the troops of the 38th Army of the 1st Ukrainian Front during the Proskurovsko-Chernivtsi operation.

When the Soviet Army entered Vinnitsa, the city was enveloped by fires that the retreating Wehrmacht arranged.
