Public execution of a “suspected partisan” by officers of the German Field Gendarmerie.
The “memory” photo was found in the personal belongings of the murdered German soldier. On the board nailed to the gallows, it is written in German and Russian: “Such a fate will befall each partisan and commissar and those who oppose the German army”.
