April 14 at 9.50 am the train delivered the coffin of Roosevelt to Washington. At the railway station, the coffin was put on a gun carriage, covered with a star-striped flag, and the seven gray horses took it along the streets crowded with people (according to police, up to 400 thousand people were present) to the White House for the farewell ceremony.
