Danes meet the SS-soldiers from Freikorps Danmark, who returned from the Eastern Front.

Danmark Freikorps is a volunteer unit in the Waffen SS, formed in July 1941 from volunteers of the Danish Nazi Party. In early January 1942, the corps got to the Demyansky Cauldron, where by the end of May 1942 it lost up to 80% of its personnel. In August 1942 it was sent for replenishment to Denmark and by October it was returned to the Eastern Front. Subsequently transformed into the 24th motorized SS regiment “Denmark”.

In Danik Freikorps served 1164 Dane. In all, about 8,000 Danes served in the SS forces.
