Matthäus Hetzenauer (1924-2004) is a German sniper, one of the most successful in Nazi Germany, with a Kar98k rifle with an optical 6x sight.

Matthäus Hetzenauer – Sniper from Geb.Jg. 144/3. Gebirgs-Devision. From July 1944 to May 1945 – 345 confirmed killed soldiers of the Red Army. He was awarded the Knight’s Cross with swords and oak leaves. One of the most effective snipers in Germany.
