Soviet Marshal Georgy Zhukov hands over to American General Dwight Eisenhower the highest Soviet military order of Victory.
Decree of June 5, 1945 “for outstanding achievements in carrying out large-scale military operations, which resulted in the victory of the United Nations over Nazi Germany” were awarded to US Army General Dwight Eisenhower and Field Marshal of Great Britain Sir Bernard Montgomery.
General Dwight Eisenhower was the thirteenth on the list awarded this order.
