M4 high speed tractor from the 105th Field Artillery Battalion of the US Army towed 203 mm (8 inches) M1 howitzer on the road in France, during the invasion of Normandy.
M4 high speed tractor – 8-ton high-speed tractor M 4 is designed for towing artillery guns and other carts weighing up to 30,000 lbs. M4 high speed tractor was adopted in August 1942. M4 high speed tractor produced at the plant Allis Chalmers.
