Soviet prisoners of war liberated by the American army from a Nazi concentration camp near the French-German border in the French town of Sarreguemines.
In total, about a thousand people were freed from Nazi slavery, along with Soviet prisoners of war in the concentration camp there were Serbs, Poles, Italians and French.
