Japanese fighters A6M3 Model 22 “Zero” from the 251st regiment in flight over the Solomon Islands. The aircraft on the foreground is piloted by Hiroyoshi Nishizawa (1920-1944), the famous Japanese ace (87 victories officially, according to various sources up to 200 victories). The aircraft is covered with dark green camouflage.
