The Japanese aircraft carriers are heading for Pearl Harbor for a surprise attack on the US Navy.
The photograph depicts the flight deck of the Japanese aircraft carrier “Dzuikaku” in its nose end, coupled installations of the universal 127-mm guns type 89. Ahead is the Japanese aircraft carrier “Kaga” (closer) and the aircraft carrier “Akagi” (further). The differences of the Japanese aircraft carriers of the 1st division are clearly visible, while the “Akagi” superstructure is located on the left side.
