Four-engine P.108B bombers were in service with the 274th Squadron “Knights of the Ocean”, commanded by the son of Duce Bruno Mussolini. After the death of the commander in an air crash on August 7, 1942, the squadron began to bear his name, which was applied in red letters along the white strip on the tail of the fuselage.
