Guard Friedrich Herzog

SS-Obersharführer Friedrich Herzog (1886–1945) from the former guards of the Nazi concentration camp, together with his colleagues, carry a pile of dead bodies of prisoners.

When cleaning the territory of a concentration camp from corpses and burial of bodies, SS employees were forbidden to use gloves, despite the serious threat of typhoid fever. Because of this, 20 of the 80 camp guard members of the SS team died.
