The conning tower of the German submarine U-552 “Red Devil”. The commander of the submarine – Erich Topp – one of the best submariner in the Second World War. U-552 “Red Devil” submarine got its nickname in honor of the mascot – the grinning devil, which was painted on the conning tower.
U-552 “Red Devil” submarine was sunk of her crew in Wilhelmshaven in May 2, 1945.
