Panzer VI Ausf.B King Tiger

 

German and Hungarian soldiers are posing near the heavy tank Pz.Kpfw.VI Ausf. BKing Tiger” from the 503rd heavy tank battalion of the Nazi Wehrmacht in Budapest, during Operation Panzerfaust.
In October 1944, the Nazis, fearing losing Hungary’s oil fields, committed a coup d’etat in Budapest, which resulted in the transfer of power to Ferenc Salashi.
