German 17 cm K Mrs Laf heavy field gun-howitzer of caliber 173 mm (full name is 17-cm Kanone 18 in Mörserlafette) in the firing position.
17 cm K.Mrs.Laf (German 17-cm-Kanone 18 in Mörserlafette – 17-cm cannon on a mortar gun) is a German heavy cannon-howitzer of great power during the Second World War.
K.Mrs.Laf Was in service with the Wehrmacht since 1941, was used in artillery corps subordination and above.
K.Mrs.Laf It was intended for use in the breakthrough of fortified defense bands, for counterbattery combat and as a coastal weapon.
K.Mrs.Laf Possessed excellent ballistics, but was very expensive in manufacturing and possessed a large mass.
