US Army General Dwight D Eisenhower, the supreme commander of the Allied Expeditionary Force, gave his last orders before loading paratroopers (101st Airborne Division “Screaming Eagles”) in transport aircraft, ready for the invasion of Normandy.
General Dwight D. Eisenhower (in the United States spread nicknamed Ike, October 14, 1890, Denison, Texas – March 28, 1969, Washington, DC).

General Dwight D. Eisenhower is the American statesman and military leader, General of the Army (1944), the 34th President of the United States (January 20, 1953 – January 20, 1961).
