Fueling the British fighter Gloster Gladiator Mk.II at one of the Libyan airfields in the Western Desert of North Africa.
“Gloster Gladiator” – the last fighter-biplane, which was in service with the Royal British Air Force. In 1940, the United Kingdom could not provide more modern aircraft for combat operations in North Africa, which were needed at Betyu for Britain against Luftwaffe fighters.
