Focke-Wulf FW-190 (Focke-Wulf FW-190 «Würger») – German single-engine piston fighter monoplane, standing on the Luftwaffe during the Second World War.
Focke Wulf 190 has been used successfully in a variety of roles, in particular the role of high-altitude interceptor (especially the Focke Wulf 190D), escort fighter, ground-attack aircraft, night fighter and has proved itself a true “workhorse” of the Luftwaffe (although Soviet pilots have always said that with “Focke Wulf 190” battle to lead more easily than with the Messerschmitt-109, and the Germans realized this – and on the Eastern front until the end of the war remained the main fighter Messerschmitt Bf.109).
