Firefighters extinguish the fire in the wing of the B-17 bomber

Firefighters extinguish the fire in the wing of the US Boeing B-17 Flying Fortress bomber, which was accidentally fired by a machine gunner from another B-17 before the combat mission.
Firefighters coped with the fire within an hour and rescued a Boeing B-17 Flying Fortress bomber.
B-17G-55-DL, serial number 44-6504, belonged to the 360th Bomber Squadron of the 303rd Bomber Group.
