Soldiers of the Czechoslovak Border Guard Detachment of State Defense (Stráž obrany státu, SOS) from the battalion No. 24 (New Castles, Nitra) on the Maria Valeria bridge across the Danube in Parkano (now Sturovo) in southern Slovakia are preparing to repel Hungarian aggression.
The SOS border detachment soldiers are armed with two machine guns ZB vz. 24 and two ZB vz. 26, on soldiers wearing helmets vz. 32.
