Fighter pilot, the future Hero of the Soviet Union (1943), Senior Lieutenant Vladimir Pavlovich Pokrovsky (1918-1998) next to his fighter P-40E Kittyhawk of American manufacturing, which supplies to the USSR under the Lend-Lease Act. Fighter pilot Vladimir Pokrovsky – Commander of the 2nd Guards Red Fighter Regiment named B.F. Safonov (6 th Fighter Aviation Brigade, Air Force of the Northern Fleet).
