Faulty Soviet warplanes at Bobruisk airfield



Soviet airfield in the town of Bobruisk, captured by the Wehrmacht in the June 29, 1941. In the foreground is defective combat aircraft – the remains of Ar-2 (later modifications to the turret of circular rotation) in the background defective combat aircraft – the SB, two of the Su-2, I-15bis and U-2 biplanes.

June 22, 1941 at the airport Bobruisk were 140 Soviet combat aircraft (58 of the SB, 50 of the Su-2, 28 of the Pe-2 and 4 of the IL-2), 6 training aircraft (USB) and 8 aircraft communications (V -2) – only 156 combat aircraft.
