English ace, fighter pilot James Lacey accepts congratulations from his comrades after a successful combat mission.

James “Ginger” Lacey is one of the most successful British fighter pilots of the “Battle for Britain” period. Between July and the end of October 1940, he destroyed 18 German aircraft, among which 13 fighters Messerschmitt Bf.109. During the same time, James Lacey was shot down twice. Since the beginning of World War II, he flew on the Hurricane fighter, from 1941 on the Spitfire.
