A German soldier of the Nazi Wehrmacht is posing on the armor of the French heavy tank Char В1-bis №209 Senegal, destroyed on May 19, 1940 by German anti-tank artillery in Saint Simon.
This French Tank from the 1st platoon of the 1st company of the 15th Tank Battalion 2nd Tank Division.
The French tank commander Lieutenant Léon Dufour, the gunner-gun gunner Sergeant Schmidt, the charging-assistant driver of the senior Private Peillon, the radio operator of the private Mortier.
