The Czechoslovak soldier photo was taken during the so-called second Sudeten crisis, when the situation around the Sudetenland region of Czechoslovakia, in which many Germans lived, and whose transmission to Nazi Germany was demanded by Adolph Hitler, worsened to the limit.
