Commander of the 10th Panzer SS Division Frundsberg, SS Brigdefuhrer Heinz Harmel, talks to the captured Poles in the Dutch city of Arnhem.

The 1st Polish Parachute Brigade took part in Operation Market Garden. Because of poor intelligence and errors in determining the landing site, many of the Polish paratroopers were surrounded by Germans and taken prisoner.
