Captured German sailors from the lost battleship “Scharnhorst”

Captured German sailors, rescued by the British from the dead battleship Scharnhorst. The German battleship Scharnhorst was sunk by the forces of the British fleet on December 26, 1943 at Cape Nordkap near Norway. Of the entire crew of the 1968 sailors only 36 sailors survived.
