Canadian Marines from the Stormont, Dundas & Glengarry Highlanders Regiment from the 9th Brigade of the 3rd Infantry Division disembark in the Nan White sector of Juno Beach near Bernie-sur-Mer.
In the foreground is a large landing ship of His Majesty’s fleet LCI(L)-299, transferred by the United States to Great Britain under the land-lease act.
